Taking advantage of the beautiful weekend to be a tourist in my new city. Visiting the Getty Villa to see ancient world of Greece and Rome since I won't be traveling there anytime soon!
The Villa is a recreation of an ancient Roman country house, the Getty Villa offers a taste of life in the first century A.D. How amazing it is to get lost in Greece and Rome for a few hours and learn about the history behind it for free.
One thing to remember is to dress the part if you are going to be outside in warm weather. You do not want to wear too much layers as you will be taking it off throughout the day and carrying them is a hassle.
I'd like to dress to match my surrounding because you never know if it's going to end up becoming photoshoot! Keeping my outfit light and summery with a simple linen vintage tee from Banana Republic. This shirt has became my to go shirt as it is soft, light, and breezy. It comes in many colors for which you can wear them all summer. It is soft, light, and breezy. I did a lot of walking and this shirt kept me cool with a lot of compliments.
The Getty Villa is modeled after a first-century Roman country house, the Villa dei Papiri in Herculaneum, Italy.
The building was constructed in the early 1970s by architects who worked closely with J. Paul Getty to develop the interior and exterior details.
My favorite part of the Villa is this mosaic hallway that is just breathtaking. Felt like a Prince in my mansion.
